Westridge Place to Stoney Creek Way Trail Connector

Herrera provided the design, permitting, and contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimate) for the 200-foot long trail providing a critical link in the trail network near Northridge Park. This new trail included pervious concrete surfacing, a concrete staircase including an integral bike ramp, and perimeter landscape restoration. This project is located in the Lake Whatcom Watershed, where increased stormwater management requirements strive to meet the goals of the Lake’s TMDL for phosphorus, dissolved oxygen, and bacteria. Herrera’s engineers provided the design, permitting, and bid documents on schedule to meet the seasonal earthwork restrictions in the Watershed, and provided construction oversight at critical points during the pervious concrete installation.
