The Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is designing a new multi-use bridge over Briggs Creek, a perennial stream in the northeastern section of Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve, adjacent to Highway 17. The bridge will connect the existing Salamander Springs Trail to the south with a planned connector trail off the Beaver Trail to the north, creating a continuous loop for pedestrians, equestrians, and cyclists. Once complete, it will also connect to the Seven Springs Trail. Designed for shared use, the bridge will improve trail connectivity and provide safe access across the creek while minimizing environmental impacts.
