Lake Sammamish Snorkeling Survey

Herrera conducted habitat and snorkel surveys along four sites to evaluate juvenile salmonid use of constructed wood structures within the Sammamish River. Our team led four snorkel surveys along engineered log structures and paired control sites. Herrera's analysis compared the observed fish presence with habitat conditions to determine the efficacy of log structures in providing habitat for rearing and migrating juvenile salmonids. The results of the report will be used to inform future restoration efforts along the Sammamish River to improve habitat for rearing salmonids.
