Herrera Attends NORFMA 2024

By Stacie Chapman

Herrerans Christina Avolio and Mark Ewbank attended the annual Northwest Regional Floodplain Management Association (NORFMA) conference in Pasco, Washington, and contributed to technical presentations and a variety of productive conversations with attendees from the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. Christina presented on floodplain planning Herrera is leading for Seattle Public Utilities in Longfellow Creek, and Mark assisted in setting up a panel of experts to discuss challenges with floodplain management in rivers that have high sediment loading. Herrera was a proud sponsor of the Thursday luncheon for all conference attendees, continuing our annual support for this vital organization. We look forward to the conference in September 2025 in Seaside, Oregon!
