Wetland Delineation & Mitigation

Herrera’s expertise in wetland delineation and mitigation spans a range of saltwater and freshwater environments, including urban areas, stream and river floodplains, rural natural settings, and active farm fields. Our scientists are often called upon to evaluate wetland functions and values; classify wetlands according to federal, state, and local systems; and identify the direct and indirect impacts of proposed actions on wetlands and their functions. Our engineers also routinely provide wetland mitigation design, including planning, analysis, and design services for wetland systems as part of larger environmental projects. Together, our scientists and engineers work with our clients to evaluate impacts and develop creative and integrated design solutions that are feasible to implement.
