City of Marysville: Engineering for Olympic View Park Improvements
Herrera worked with the City of Marysville to design park amenities and provide an accessible connection to the Ebey Waterfront Trail and the Qwuloolt Estuary. This project included an accessible playground, picnic shelter, bathroom building, roadway extension, parking lot, and associated utilities. Herrera provided wetland delineation services, as well as civil engineering design for the proposed park improvements nestled within several wetlands, a salmon-bearing stream, the shoreline and slough, and neighboring residential development. The onsite wetlands have been preserved, and impacts to wetland and stream buffers have been mitigated for onsite. This accessible connection to the Qwuloolt Estuary and park amenities is a great asset to the City and its residents for years to come.
