Merced Avenue Greenway Project Monitoring
The City of South El Monte (City) received Proposition 1 Storm Water Grant funding through the California Coastal Conservancy (Conservancy) to prepare plans, designs, environmental analyses, and permit applications for creation of the Merced Avenue Greenway Project. The City received further funding from The State Water Board, the California Natural Resources Agency, and the Safe, Clean Water Program for project monitoring. Herrera is currently supporting the project monitoring program, including production of a Monitoring and Reporting Plan, and Quality Assurance Project Plan, as well as equipment installation, training, data management and analysis, and reporting per grant funding requirements. The goal of the project monitoring will be to obtain information on the hydrologic and stormwater quality impacts of the project. The Merced Avenue Greenway Project supports compliance with the ULAR EWMP’s 2012 MS4 MS4 Permit, of which the City is a permittee.
