Chicken Creek Refuge Restoration

We are improving water quality and ecological conditions at the confluence of Chicken Creek and the Tualatin River in the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge provides habitat for a range of species. Significant alterations were made to the landscape by farmers and previous managers. We developed two design alternatives that restore many of the predevelopment site conditions and functions. We are now modeling these alternatives to inform CWS’s alternative selection.
