The Bitterroot Front Stewardship Project supports the Wildfire Crisis Strategy addressing wildfire risks to critical infrastructure, protects communities, and creating more resilient forests. Herrera is conducting rare plant surveys on over 3,000 acres of the Bitterroot National Forest in the Stevensville Ranger District. Surveys targeted Montana species of concern, (USFS) Region One sensitive species, forest species of interest and proposed, threatened, and endangered plant species.
