City of Edmonds Marina Beach Park Development

Herrera provided geomorphic, permitting and site civil engineering assistance to the City of Edmonds in their development of a park plan for Marina Beach Park. Marina Beach Park is one of the only waterfront parks on the Puget Sound shoreline in the City of Edmonds. The park is currently the site of a playground and dog park, as well as water access for other passive recreation activities (e.g., kayaking, windsurfing, etc.). The plan is culminating in a phased improvement project that will daylight Willow Creek, revegetate ecologically critical areas, improve the beach, remove debris from past infrastructure, reduce the parking lot footprint while preserving the total number of spaces, improve on-site stormwater infrastructure, and install a new composting toilet.
