Herrera is thrilled to celebrate the completion of the second phase of Cordata Park. After working on phases one and two of Cordata Park, Herrera’s project manager, Neil Schaner, PE, remarks, “With the completion of phase two, Cordata Park becomes one of Bellingham’s best. Combined with phase one, the improvements made, especially the pavilion and sport courts, provide the historically underserved north of Bellingham with a landmark park. Herrera is proud to have helped with the design and is excited to see the community use the park to its fullest.”

Herrera managed all civil engineering aspects of the project, including model simulations to analyze hydrologic inputs to on-site wetlands, providing site and utility design to support the park uses, and coordinating pedestrian, vehicular, and utility connections to the Cordata Parkway right-of-way.
