Herrera’s Christina Avolio to Present at the 2023 Salmon Recovery Conference

Join Herrera April 18-19th at the Vancouver Convention Center in Vancouver, WA for the 9th biennial Salmon Recovery Conference hosted by the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Commission. Open to environmental professionals, this in-person event showcases the latest projects, research, monitoring, and other related topics.

On April 18th from 2-4pm, Herrera’s Christina Avolio, PE will present alongside Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group (SFEG) executive director Alison Studley on Recreating a Space for Habitat Complexity and Community Along the Skagit River in Pressentin Park. Attendees will learn about the importance of early planning with Tribal partners, designing for both recreation and habitat in a dynamic floodplain setting, community elements of resilience, the outlook for ongoing environmental stewardship and sustainability, as well as recommended considerations for other side channel and floodplain restoration projects.
