As a Midwesterner, moving to Seattle more than a decade ago sparked my deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest’s stunning natural gifts and environmental stewardship. At Herrera, I’m thrilled to use my background in science communication and content management to help our technical experts showcase their impactful work.
For fun, you’ll find me stepping outside to hike and ski, then retreating indoors to exercise my creative side as a violinist, live music aficionado, and crafter.

Favorite Species:
Ginkgo. I admire their uniqueness, longevity, resilience, and ability to grow in urban environments. My grandparents had a ginkgo tree in their yard when I was a kid, and I spent many summers climbing its branches.
