Danielle Rapoza, PWS
Danielle is an ecologist with technical experience spanning natural resource science, fisheries, habitat assessment, wetland and stream delineation, vegetation monitoring, environmental permitting, and ecological restoration. She is drawn to collaborative, science-based approaches informed by ecological context and the relationships between people and ecosystems. Outside work, Danielle enjoys birdwatching and spending time outdoors with her dog, exploring local trails.
Favorite Species:
Coho salmon and beavers. This co-evolved ecological duo’s shared resilience and adaptability have shaped both urban and rural watersheds in the PNW.
Hidden Talent:
Tormenting friends and colleagues by turning every hike or field visit into a live guide to birds, plants, and wildlife signs.
Favorite Quote
Science can be a way of forming intimacy and respect with other species that is rivaled only by the observations of traditional knowledge holders. It can be a path to kinship.
