Claudia Basso

Environmental Technician

My passion lies in freshwater ecology, restoration, and environmental justice around water resources. I’m especially intrigued by biogeochemical processes that take place in wetlands. I love exploring the “why” and “how” through water quality projects, aquatic species surveys, and working with native plants. I’m grateful to be part of a team dedicated to solving environmental challenges. In my free time, I volunteer, hike, and go on adventures with my daughter.

Favorite Species:
Western redcedar- it's iconic! It has strength, beauty, and deep significance to Indigenous cultures. I see it as a symbol of strength and identity of the PNW.
