Whitney Packard

Engineer

Working with water is an important and impactful way to protect and preserve our world for generations to come. As a part of the water team, I have the opportunity to help communities build understanding and cooperation with local systems while interacting with our environment. I love to read, own far more plants than I should, and find joy in exploring the city through food and new experiences.

Education:
B.S. Ecological Engineering, Oregon State University
Favorite Quote:
“Happy are those who sing with all their heart, in the forthrightness of their heart. Find joy in the sky, in the trees, in the flowers. There are flowers everywhere for those who want to see them.” – Henri Matisse
Favorite Species & Why:
Big Leaf Maple, Acer Macrophyllum
I love maples because of their incredible color and beautiful leaf shape, but also because they are found in all my home states, from Colorado to Oregon to Washington.
Hidden Talent:
Extensive and unnecessary football knowledge (Go Broncos!)
