I love learning about new places. Wetlands are my window into the world of plants, animals, water, and soils of each ecosystem I study. Keying out plants, digging soil pits, and following stream channels helps me understand a site and connect with the creatures that live there.

Outside of work I play guitar with my band, Barnaby Wilde, have fun with my children and grandchildren, camp in the summer and cross-country ski in the winter.
