Water Resources Engineer

A favorite part of my work as a stormwater engineer is the lens it provides into our community. I enjoy working with a wide range of businesses, from manufacturers to gravel mines to grain terminals to metals recyclers to shipyards to port terminal operators, to help protect water quality and meet permit requirements while learning about what makes their business tick. Passing by a business I’ve helped while biking to work or on the way to my kids’ soccer games always brings a smile to my face.

“To do things right, first you need love, then technique” Antoni Gaudí
Favorite Species & Why:
Great blue heron – they're beautiful, steadfast birds that embody patience and grace. Plus seeing them means I’m probably alongside water, which is always good.
