Emma Van Orden

I have always been passionate about sustainability and having a positive impact on both natural and built environments, which led me to a career as a civil engineer. I’m grateful that as an engineer at Herrera I can combine an analytical skillset with a passion for protecting the ecosystems that surrounded me growing up. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time outside, learning about sustainability, and taking dance classes.

Favorite Species:

Magnolia trees. They’re one of the first things to bloom in Seattle at the beginning of spring and produce the most beautiful flowers.

Hidden Talent:

Ballet - I’ve been dancing since I was 4.
