Marymoor and Overlake Sustainable Redesign

The Marymoor and Overlake areas of Redmond, Washington are undergoing a major transformation to a mix of commercial and residential land uses as the City prepares for light rail access. We were excited to be part of improving mobility and the urban landscape through this work. Our role entailed assisting design of the street and urban pathway network, neighborhood amenities, and furnishings for streets by determining locations, size, and style of facilities for stormwater infiltration. We also led the integration of these stormwater facilities by developing design concepts with an emphasis on low impact development (LID) techniques. The project will provide guidance for developers to manage stormwater on private parcels consistent with expected development patterns, land use goals, and in compliance with stormwater regulations.
