Herrera to Collaborate with Miller Hayashi Architects on Tukwila Public Works Administration Building

By

Herrera looks forward to collaborating with Miller Hayashi Architects to provide environmental engineering, permitting, and landscape architecture services for the City of Tukwila’s Public Works Administration Building.

This project will consolidate all Public Works department activities into one site by designing a new administration building that will house the Facilities, Fleet, Utilities, and Streets departments of the Maintenance and Operations division of Public Works.

“This is a wonderful collaborative opportunity to restore and reconnect a vital piece of Duwamish shoreline to neighboring parks and to create a sustainable campus for Tukwila Public Works staff to take pride in and enjoy,” said Herrera Landscape Architect Stacy Vayanos.

Herrera is working with the design team to develop test fit concepts for the Public Utility Campus, including the layout of program elements, trails, overall circulation, landscape, shoreline restoration areas, and stormwater management based on permitting guidelines. Our team is thrilled to contribute our expertise to the redevelopment of this campus.
