With 30 years’ worth of stormwater quality projects under his belt, it’s no wonder that people have taken notice of Chris Webb’s work.
Chris, Principal Engineer and Herrera’s Director of Design, was recognized this month as a Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Ambassador by the Green Infrastructure Leadership Exchange. The Exchange recognizes GSI Ambassadors like Chris for demonstrating “a substantial commitment to advancing [its] mission of equitable GSI implementation.” Chris was named a Framing Ambassador for his work on projects that helped to frame the Exchange’s best practices and principles of GSI.
A network of cross-sector GSI professionals, The Exchange has a mission to engage local governments and water agencies across the United States and Canada to promote equitable implementation of GSI and foster sustainable stormwater solutions. One of the most critical issues facing growing populations in increasingly developed cities is the effective management, treatment, and use of stormwater as a resource. With his expertise in multi-benefit infrastructure that supports sustainable development, Chris has worked with many local and state governments, private and public entities, utilities, and nonprofit groups throughout his career to support communities and enhance water quality through nature based civil engineering solutions.
Congratulations, Chris, for this well-deserved recognition!
