Margo Carroll

Publications Manager

As the Publications Manager at Herrera, I lead our Publications Team in translating complex technical data into high-quality deliverables that inform planning and decision-making. I am a trained environmental scientist with experience in technical report writing, hazard mitigation planning, and environmental monitoring in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

Outside of work, I enjoy trail running and hiking. I value being part of an organization that supports the environment in which I live, work, and play.

Favorite Species:
Epilobium angustifolium (fireweed) – this incredible flowering plant is one that signals the sunnier seasons, and I enjoy being greeted by it in the forests of the Pacific Northwest when the sun is shining on my face. I love fireweed so much I named my dog after it – but we call him Angus for short to make it easier to recall him on the trails.

Proudest Moment on the Job:
Presenting on climate-resilient adaptation planning and traditional ecological knowledge integration methodologies at a United Nations climate adaptation conference in Christchurch, New Zealand.
