Seattle Works Day @ Green Lake
A big shout out to the Herrera Seattle Works Day team! Our team of divers, snorkelers, and a shore crew hit Green Lake this past Saturday to pull invasive milfoil from the lake. Basking in the sunny weather while fielding questions from many curious passersby the team pulled up pounds of the non-native weed from the lake floor. The Herrera team joined over 1,000 volunteers who collectively gave nearly 4,000 hours of service to Seattle on projects throughout the City. This was Herrera’s seventh consecutive Seattle Works Day and third led by water resources engineer Rebecca Dugopolski.
