Herrera Traverses the Bellingham Traverse!

By

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to run, bike, and paddle through Bellingham’s scenic parks, winding trails, and open waterways? Well, we did it last weekend, when Herrera participated in the Bellingham Traverse, a fun multisport relay race that challenges teams of 1 to 12 people to complete six different legs: a 5.9 mile greenway run, a 5.6 mile mountain bike, a 2.7 mile trail run, a 21 mile road bike, a 4.4 mile paddle, and a 0.6 mile team trek. We tackled the race with our intrepid team of Randall Taylor, Dylan Ahearn, Colleen Mitchell, Neil Schaner, John Lenth, and Jack Brown (secret weapon). We may not have placed first, but it was an amazing experience that tested our endurance, teamwork, and après-race beer-drinking aptitude.

We hope to see you on the course next year!
