Herrera is excited to be a Gold Level sponsor for the 38th Annual 2023 SWANA Northwest Regional Symposium. Registration is now open for this annual symposium which will take place on April 18-20th at the Tulalip Resort Hotel. Join our team and other solid waste industry professionals across the Northwest to share knowledge through networking, tours, technical sessions, keynote speakers, and other social events.

On Tuesday, April 18th from 2:30-3:30 pm, Herrera’s Tyson Wright, PE, and Camryn Steiner will lead a tour of the Everett Landfill Redevelopment project to learn about the site’s history and current efforts to construct up to 1,250 residential units, access roads, surface parking, a park, and a variety of retail and commercial uses over a closed landfill.

On Wednesday, April 19th at 9:10 am, see Herrera Principal Engineer Mary Shanks participate in a panel on Organics Processing Solutions to Meet Washington House Bill 1799 Requirements. Late that afternoon, Mary will moderate the Interactive Panel Discussion on Aging Transfer Stations panel.
