Herrera’s Albany Street Stormwater Park Project Wins Gold at 2022 ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards

By

Herrera is honored to receive a Best in State: Gold Award at the 2022 ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards for our Albany Street Stormwater Park project with Thurston County.

Presented annually by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Washington Chapter, this award recognizes engineering achievements across the state that demonstrate the highest degree of skill and ingenuity. Herrera’s innovative design project consists of a stormwater facility that doubles as an open-air amphitheater. Developed using community input, this stormwater facility solves local drainage issues and provides a public amenity, while addressing environmental health disparities within the area.

Herrera commends Thurston County and participating community members for collaborating with our team throughout this project. We look forward to further providing sustainable stormwater solutions throughout the County and Pacific Northwest. Click here for more information on Herrera’s Albany Street Stormwater Project.
