Herrera Selected to Provide Stormwater and Environmental Compliance Services to Port of Skagit

By

Herrera is thrilled to continue our work with Port of Skagit to provide stormwater and environmental compliance services in accordance with the Industrial Stormwater General Permit and Phase II Permit for Western Washington.

This project will consist of regular inspections of the Port’s NPDES permit coverage areas, stormwater sampling and reporting, in addition to supporting GIS data gathering for stormwater infrastructure maintenance and repairs.

Since 2019, Herrera has collaborated with Port of Skagit, providing similar permit compliance support services, while also updating the Port’s stormwater drainage system mapping, Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) Plan, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). Recently, Herrera developed brochures on stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) for tenants at the La Conner Marina and Bayview Business Park and Airport.

Our team looks forward to applying our unique knowledge of the Port’s operations and facilities in combination with our stormwater expertise to help the Port continue to be a leader in stormwater management.
