Happy World Wildlife Day! Herrera is committed to creating sustainable environments for wildlife to prosper. Many of our projects focus on protecting struggling salmon populations, providing killer whales with the food they need to survive.

Unfortunately, human activity remains one of the greatest threats to the killer whale population in the North Pacific. This article published by Salish Sea Currents Magazine, provides a rare glimpse into the leading causes of death amongst the killer whale population and the importance of boating and fishing regulations.
