Congrats to Christina Merten

Congratulations to Herrera’sChristina Merten who was recently elected Board President for Women InEnvironment (WIE).  A member of WIE since 2013 and a Senior Ecologist withHerrera, Christina is a graduate of Texas A&M University, a professionalwetland scientist and licensed professional engineer.  Christina has ledthe organization’s fundraising efforts for the past year and over the next yearChristina will focus on implementing WIE’s strategic plan for continued growthwhile keeping a focus on fostering relationships, mutual respect, and diversityamong the existing membership by maintaining WIE’s networking, education andmentoring events.

Founded in Portland, Oregon in2009 by and for environmental professionals, in 2010, WIE expanded to Seattleand continues to expand to the South Puget Sound Area in Washington and the SanFrancisco Bay Area in California.  Herrera is a proud Platinum levelsponsor for WIE’s programs in 2020.
