National GIS Day
By bitsadmin
What do you imagine when somebody asks you to describe your favorite November holiday? For Herrera’s Spatial Science team, the answer is story maps, geography trivia, cupcakes, and the general celebration of geospatial technology that is GIS Day! In the 19 years since the first GIS Day was celebrated in 1999, it is not a stretch to say that GIS and related mapping technologies have changed the world. Maps and spatial analysis help us solve environmental problems, engage communities, and put our data to use to help inform decision-making.
