Herrera Teams with Vital Ground to Save Grizzly Bear Habitat

By

On October 15, 2017, Herrera teamed up with Vital Ground to improve grizzly bear habitat along the Rocky Mountain Front. Vital Ground Foundation is a non-profit organization that conserves private land for grizzly bears and other wildlife through conservation easements, land acquisitions, and partner projects to permanently protect core wildlife habitat on private lands.  Vital Ground has helped to protect and enhance over a half million acres of crucial grizzly habitat in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Alaska, and British Columbia.

Herrera completed an unmanned aircraft system flight for Vital Ground to collect aerial imagery and video promoting a conservation project in the Northern Continental Divide ecosystem near Choteau, Montana.  Teaming with Vital Ground to help them safeguard core wildlife habitat and corridors aligns with Herrera’s values and continued commitment as stewards of the land.
