Stacy Vayanos

Landscape Architect

One of the most rewarding challenges of landscape architecture is finding elegant and sustainable ways to integrate different systems. Collaboration and critical design thinking is crucial to this process. After more than 20 years of experience in the design field, my expertise is weaving built form and the natural realm together in a way that both can flourish. Outside of work I enjoy experimenting with new recipes, gardening, and exploring the PNW with my family.

Education:
M.A. Landscape Architecture, Cornell University

Favorite Quote:
"You know me, I think there ought to be a big old tree right there. And let's give him a friend. Everybody needs a friend." -Bob Ross
Favorite Species:
Polystichum Munitum (Western Sword Fern)- There is nothing like seeing the green expanse of sword ferns on a steep mountainside in the shade of the tall coniferous forest, and also growing streetside in a bioretention facility. It’s a tough native plant!
