Katie Sweeney

Like many other environmental scientists, my childhood was spent romping around swamps, woods, meadows and lakeshores, asking “why?”. I’m so thankful and excited to continue that trend at Herrera. With a passion for aquatic sciences, I now work on various stormwater, water quality, and lake management projects. Outside of work, I spend most of my time playing with my dog (Delta), but I also enjoy exploring new parks, spending time with friends, and making things.

Hidden Talent:

Crafting. All kinds— painting, ceramics, gardening, etc. Most recently, my choice crafts include baking and crocheting.
