Jamie Elrod

Engineer

Growing up in Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes, I’ve always been drawn to water and the environment. This passion only grew as I traveled west with my family to Washington. That’s why, at Herrera, I take pride in projects critical to sustaining not only nature but also the livelihoods of countless communities. Outside of work, you can find me hiking, playing tennis, and watching movies.

Education:
B.S. Civil and Environmental Engineering, Seattle University
Favorite Quote:
β€œIt is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.” (Translated from French) – Le Petit Prince
Favorite Species & Why:
Ladybug (specifically Convergent Lady Beetles). I'm not sure of the origin of my interest, but for as long as I can remember, I've had a deep affection for these tiny creatures. At home, my nickname is 'bug,' I used to own a collection of over 100 ladybug figurines, and even raised my own ladybug farm during elementary school.
