Jamie Elrod
Engineer
Growing up in Michigan, surrounded by the Great Lakes, I’ve always been drawn to water and the environment. This passion only grew as I traveled west with my family to Washington. That’s why, at Herrera, I take pride in projects critical to sustaining not only nature but also the livelihoods of countless communities. Outside of work, you can find me hiking, playing tennis, and watching movies.
- Education:
- B.S. Civil and Environmental Engineering, Seattle University
- Favorite Quote:
- βIt is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.β (Translated from French) β Le Petit Prince
- Favorite Species & Why:
- Ladybug (specifically Convergent Lady Beetles). I'm not sure of the origin of my interest, but for as long as I can remember, I've had a deep affection for these tiny creatures. At home, my nickname is 'bug,' I used to own a collection of over 100 ladybug figurines, and even raised my own ladybug farm during elementary school.
