Eliza Spear, PWS

Senior Ecologist

I am an ecologist who found my way to this career through a love of kayaking, hiking, and rural travel. After graduating with a BS in Environmental Science and Ecology from William and Mary, I worked in restoration and on organic veggie farms before completing the University of Washington Wetland Science and Management program. At Herrera, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in a variety of projects which include wetland and stream delineation and characterization, restoration and mitigation planning, aquatic vegetation surveys, and supporting client compliance with environmental regulations. In my free time, I’m often watching my veggies too closely, hugging my senior dog ‘Q,’ or taking my partner’s wooden dory out for a sail.
