Herrera looks forward to attending the CASQA 2022 Annual Conference held October 24th-26th at the Palm Springs Convention Center in California. This event brings together stormwater professionals from across the country to network, learn, and discuss a wide range of stormwater and water management topics. This year’s theme, Celebrating Milestones: Taking the Next Steps for Stormwater, celebrates the progress made in stormwater over the last 50 years and next steps to further protect our waterways.
On Monday, October 24th, from 1:30-2:25pm join Herrera for Session 2 of the BMP Effectiveness Track to see Herrera Principal Scientist, Dylan Ahearn, PhD moderate a panel on Actively Managing Our Stormwater Management Assets: A Discussion on the Need to Reframe Our Thinking Around BMP Maintenance. This panel of national and local stormwater treatment experts will focus on the key steps which must be taken to ensure that a BMP will meet long-term performance goals.
Following this discussion, Dylan will present in Session 3 of the BMP Effectiveness Track from 3:05pm-3:30pm on Using Full-Scale BMP Test Facilities to Drive Stormwater Treatment Innovation. Attendees of this presentation will learn about two state-of-the-art full-scale BMP testing facilities which are being used to conduct research and development, while also certifying new stormwater treatment technologies.
