Herrera welcomes five new summer interns to our Seattle and Portland offices. Our firm’s immersive internship program gives current college students and recent graduates the opportunity to apply their skills to a variety of water, restoration, and sustainable development projects across the Pacific Northwest. This program aims to teach young professionals about the environmental consulting career path through close collaboration with Herrera’s staff and hands-on experience in the field. Herrera’s 2022 interns are:
Jamie Elrod– Jamie is an engineering intern based out of Herrera’s Seattle office. She will be a senior at Seattle University this fall, studying civil engineering and mathematics.
Katie Parker – Katie is an engineering intern based out of Herrera’s Seattle office. She is an incoming sophomore at University of Washington studying chemical engineering with a minor in statistics.
Stephen Rockroth- Stephen is an environmental science intern based out of Herrera’s Seattle office. He is an incoming senior at University of Southern California majoring in environmental studies.
Josh Steger– Josh is a landscape design intern based out of Herrera’s Portland office. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in environmental conservation from University of Wisconsin- Madison.
Xiaoyu (Shawree) Zhang – Shawree is a natural resources intern based out of Herrera’s Seattle office. They are a recent University of Washington graduate with a major in environmental science and resource management–wildlife conservation.
