We are all neighbors. Together, we can end homelessness.

Herrera provides pro bono support to the BLOCK project to design and build a “tiny house” in the back yard of a single family home on every residentially zoned block in the City of Seattle. This type of innovation is the right thing to do to address an important challenge in Seattle and beyond. Colleen Mitchell leads Herrera’s contribution – helping make these tiny houses water efficient and as compliant as possible with the Living Building Challenge. Many of the houses will use rainwater collection, composting toilets and possibly greywater systems.

Colleen Mitchell is part of the Seattle Center display. Go visit to hear her to talk about her work in the multi-media display inside the faux cistern!
