WALPA Goes Virtual For 2020

The Washington State Lake Protection Association (WALPA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1986 by a group of volunteers concerned for the future of lakes in Washington. WALPA has grown to more than 200 members that include lakeside residents, lake associations, recreationists, scientists, educators, legislators, and local and state agencies. Through WALPA, separate entities with diverse interests speak with a united voice.

Herrera’s own limnologist Rob Zisette planned the conference as president elect and opened and closed the ceremonies at this year’s WALPA 2020 Virtual Conference, along with one of our engineers, Drew Stang.

The theme this year, “Lake Diversity from Ponds to Reservoirs,” was chosen to highlight the vast range of waters we manage, use for recreation, and love.
