I grew up surrounded by nature and water in Finland, which is why I have a strong passion in protecting our natural resources and creating sustainable systems. At Herrera, I’m hoping to collaborate with local communities to solve stormwater related issues that will help preserve our water resources.

Education:

B.S. in Biological Systems Engineering, Virginia Tech

Favorite Species & Why:

Kuikka (Gavia arctica; loon). When I imagine a peaceful Finnish summer night, I can hear the song of a kuikka echoing off a lake as the midnight sun shines in the horizon.
