From April 25-26th, join Herrera at the Wenatchee Convention Center for the Washington Statewide Municipal Stormwater conference (MuniCon)! This bi-annual conference offers both in-person and virtual attendance, bringing together municipal stormwater professionals to share knowledge and tools for effective stormwater management across Washington State.
April 25th 1pm-5:15pm: See Associate Engineer Rebecca Dugopolski, PE and Senior Scientist Mindy Fohn lead a workshop in Track W1 on Source Control Inspection Program Training. Workshop objectives include discussing key topics in the NPDES Phase II permit; providing an overview of the Source Control Inspection Program Guidance Manual; highlighting critical items related to developing an inspection program and conducting inspections; providing peer-to-peer learning opportunities; and practicing using inspection forms, asking questions, and identifying potential issues.
April 26th 8:35-9:05am: Don’t miss Herrera Water Resources Engineer Julianne Chechanover present in Track 3 on the 2022 Lacey Stormwater Design Manual Local Enhancements. This presentation will summarize the updated Lacey Stormwater Design Manual which incorporates several local enhancements for successful stormwater management.
April 26th 9:55-10:25am: Catch Rebecca Dugopolski, PE present in Track 4 on Resources for Implementing Source Control Inspection Programs. Throughout this presentation, Rebecca will provide an overview of the collaborative process, manual content, supplemental resources, and training resources (including an online training module).
April 26th 2:55-3:25pm: join Principal Engineer Chris Webb, PE and Principal Scientist Dylan Ahearn, PhD for their presentation in Track 2 on the Park Place and POST Media Study. Attendees of this presentation will learn about Herrera’s project with the City of Bellingham to develop a new stormwater treatment media capable of removing a high level of total phosphorus from stormwater runoff, monitor a pilot scale facility using the new media, and reconstruct a regional stormwater treatment facility using the new media.
