Saturday, June 8th was the City’s annual Seattle Works Day. Herrera sponsored a team of employees and their families. Our crew of eight volunteered in the West Dumwamish Greenbelt in West Seattle with the Delridge Neighborhood Association and Nature Consortium. Along with the other group volunteering that day, we removed 8,600 square feet of Himalayan blackberry, Scotch broom, and cleaver and mulched over 500 square feet. We joined 45 other teams (with over 600 volunteers) city wide for over 2,205 hours of service for 35 nonprofits!
