Keeley Chiasson
I’ve always lived near the ocean, moving from California’s central coast up to Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. This lifelong coastal connection has guided my path to becoming a coastal scientist. I love thinking about the interconnectedness of environmental systems and the influence anthropogenic impacts have had on coastal and fluvial geomorphology. Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking, trail running, and exercising my creative side by making ceramic art.
Favorite Species:
Black Bear, because I resonate with them. We both love foraging for blueberries, eating fresh salmon, and roaming through the woods. I also think they are incredibly cute.
Proudest Moment on the Job:
During my master’s field research, I had the opportunity to take a Seattle Times reporter into the field to showcase climate research I’m assisting the Tulalip Tribe with.
