Natural Resources images
I really can't imagine a better place to work – Herrera has been such a great fit for my skillset, career interests, goals, and personality. I love having the opportunity to collaborate with the best scientists, engineers, and planners in the business on exciting and diverse projects, both locally and abroad. Since starting at Herrera last year, I have worked on everything from wetland and stream restoration planning in Skagit County, Washington to aquatic resources assessments in Yosemite National Park, California - It doesn't get much better than that!

Natural Resources

Herrera’s Natural Resources group provides professional assistance in all of our service areas, from Endangered Species Act (ESA) consultations, permitting, environmental impact assessment, to habitat mitigation and restoration design.

Our projects encompass terrestrial to freshwater and marine environments in settings ranging from urban waterfronts to remote wilderness. Our resource scientists, planners, and engineers work as an integrated team to help our clients meet their project goals.

Our expertise includes fish and wildlife population surveys and habitat assessments; wetland delineation; functional assessments and mitigation plans; and habitat restoration services in marine, aquatic, and terrestrial environments. We apply these skills across a range of project types, from basic scientific research on populations and ecological relationships to habitat surveys and environmental impact assessments for a range of permitting and regulatory requirements including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and ESA compliance. Whether the project is large or small, our Natural Resources group has the skills and experience to meet our clients’ needs and goals.
