Herrera Increases Office and Business Staff

Herrera Environmental Consultants has appointed Ellen Ryerson, PHR, as human resources manager. Ms. Ryerson has over 10 years experience in human resources, including employee relations, legal compliance, policy development, training, compensation, and benefit programs. She has been an HR manager for the past 5 years.

 

Jennifer Swanson joins the firm as a contract administrator with more than 14 years of consulting experience in accounting and business management. Lynne Petersen joins the support services group as a word processor with 15 years of administrative experience including 8 years in engineering consulting.

Low Impact Development (LID) is an innovative stormwater management approach with a basic principle that is modeled after nature: manage rainfall at the source using uniformly distributed decentralized micro-scale controls.

Herrera Adds to Planning Group

Katheryn Seckel is a planner with background in rural, long-range transportation planning and public involvement for urban and rural transportation, sanitation, and environmental projects. Her primary duties include background research; site visits and data gathering; public meeting preparation and participation; technical writing and data analysis. Katheryn Seckel is currently involved in addressing environmental issues related to the WSDOT Tacoma General Engineering Contract.

 

Julie Anderson has worked as a biologist and environmental scientist for 13 years. Her expertise lies primarily within the disciplines of fisheries, wildlife, stream and wetland ecology, water quality, transportation, land use planning and solid waste management. Ms. Anderson is currently working with the design and planning team of the WSDOT Tacoma General Engineering Contract.

 

Jack Middleton is a project planner with over six years experience in environmental review and natural resource management. Mr. Middleton’s areas of technical experience include natural resource economics, environmental law and policy, recreation planning and assessments, forest and land use planning, and the management and development of NEPA and SEPA environmental impact statements. Mr. Middleton is currently assisting in the WSDOT Tacoma General Engineering Contract and the WSDOT Mt. Baker General Engineering Contract.
