Herrera Environmental Consultants’ Tim Abbe and Karen Williams will join three other experts in co-leading a workshop entitled “Fluvial Geomorphic Processes in River Restoration.” This day-long workshop will provide tools for understanding, assessing and incorporating geomorphic processes into restoration goals and design. Williams will give an introduction to process geomorphology, and Abbe will discuss how the rate and magnitude of wood delivery in streams influences channel morphology and restoration effectiveness.

The workshop will take place on September 27, one day before the Fourth Annual River Center Meeting at the University of Montana in Missoula.
