Herrera Expands Fisheries and Geomorphology Groups

Chris Brummer, a professional engineer and licensed engineering geologist, joined Herrera in July with 13 years of experience in the fields of engineering geology and geomorphology. Mr. Brummer’s research on streambed armoring, the use of sediment tracers, and grain-size distributions of landslide deposits led to a probabilistic model of particle entrainment in mountain streams. His work has contributed significantly to the best available science understanding of sediment budgets in mountain drainage basins.

Johnny Grady, Jr., a fisheries biologist, joined Herrera in August with 5 years of professional experience in stream habitat and hydrology surveys, riparian corridor and habitat studies and investigating public recreational uses of riparian areas. Mr. Grady has extensive experience working with Western Washington government agencies to conduct investigations and analyses related to fish, wildlife, and habitat protection.
